Teriyaki Chicken Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts, diced (1-inch cubes)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup water (or 2 tbsp water + 2 tbsp mirin)
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 1/2 tbsp packed light brown sugar
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1/4 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 2 tsp minced fresh ginger
- 2 tsp minced fresh garlic
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- Sesame seeds and green onions (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook chicken until browned (about 3 to 4 minutes per side), then continue until the center reaches 160°F.
- While the chicken cooks, whisk together all sauce ingredients.
- Pour sauce over chicken and cook until thickened, about 30 to 60 seconds.
- Serve warm, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds if using.
